In this war battlefield reports often come directly from social media — actually, from apparently pro-Ukrainian users of social media. How reliable that report is? Frankly, I wouldn’t have a clue.
At the time I didn't get a screencapture, but I saw an earlier version of that tweet with a slightly more explicit language:
Was that previous report reliable? — I asked myself. After all, as our media, reliant on apparently pro-Ukrainian users of social media, assures us, the behaviour of the Ukrainian side in this conflict is immaculately pure. Anything shedding a less flattering light on them must be fake news — we've been told.
So, I cannot vouch for that. What I can say is that others noticed the same change:
Did they change their statement or you just modified the news to be more acceptable by the public? Either way, the outcome is the same: war crime if you kill them after they are surrendered. pic.twitter.com/XxRtsukSfJ

Later, I saw The Kyiv Independent quoted by traditional media. This is what I could find about them: Website. Patreon.
Japanese journalist Asami Terajima, who apparently works for The Kyiv Independent, has featured on telly reports.
This is what I know. You decide.
