Email from the Nature Conservation Council:
Something groundbreaking is happening on September 20. For the first time in history, people across the world will walk out of work and school together for a global strike to demand action on the climate crisis.
Young people from the SchoolStrike4Climate movement will lead the strikes. But to make the day truly historic, they need every adult who cares about their future to be there to back them up.
Will you join the Global #ClimateStrike on September 20?
RSVP to the Sydney strike here, or find the closest strike to you here.
The #ClimateStrike is happening three days before world leaders meet in New York for the UN Climate Emergency Summit.
By taking time off school and work together at a global scale, we can set the tone for the summit. And with our chants ringing in their ears, we will embolden leaders to fight for serious action to tackle global warming and stand up for nature and people.

To those feeling desperate:
Trust me, I know how you feel. The situation is dire. But at least those kids are trying instead of whingeing and feeling sorry for themselves.
It may be a long shot, but it beats seating on our asses and waiting for the worst to happen. Come on, old-timers and Commie workers, let us join the kids.
