While federal MPs continued bickering about any plans to reach net zero by 2050, NSW announced their commitment to halve emissions from 2005 levels by 2030 — with full support from Deputy Premier John Barilaro. NSW has also committed to a target of net zero by 2050, with a clear message from Environment Minister Matt Kean to Canberra to ‘get on with it’.
Nevertheless, NSW is still expanding new coal equivalent to fifteen Adanis in size, which makes absolutely zero sense! You can tell the NSW Liberals that Climate Action = No New Coal by going here.
